B'ran  

• Current Description:
  B'ran appears to be somewhere in his mid to late-twenties. His hair curls lightly, and is a golden blond, with lighter blond streaks as a result of the warm Southern sun. It is cropped short, though slightly longer on top, so that he is often seen flicking a stray lock from his eyes. His features are rugged in a way that might be considered handsome: wide mouth, a slightly long nose, and a strong chin. His skin has been darkened to a rich, even tan by the sun, just as his hair has been lightened. And then there are his eyes.
  Predator eyes, some would call them, if not for the kindness that radiates from his gaze. They are deep gold, several shades darker than his hair, exactly like those of the large wild felines that roam the Southern Continent.
  Brown leather covers his long, lean, and muscular 6'2" body. A deep brown leather tunic covers his torso, from broad shoulders to tuck into his pants at his narrow waist. The tunic is short-sleeved, appropriate to the climate of the South, so that his strong forearms are bare. Lighter brown pants cover his long legs from narrow hips to ankles, and are fastened at waist with a wide, black wher-hide belt. The clothes fit well, not too loose, and not too tight, either. However, the leather they are made out of is rough, with various oil stains and other stains that come with taking care of his young bronze. Despite this, when he moves one can see the occasional ripple of muscle, from arms and shoulders used to heavy lifting, and legs used to running long distances. On his feet, he wears black wher-hide boots.
  

  Current History:
      Son of a journeyman Healer, Berandon spent the first 12 Turns of his life at the Healer Hall. When he was four, his mother, a beastcrafter at the Hall, was killed in a runnerbeast accident. Heartbroken at first, his father nevertheless found the second love of his life by time Berandon was five and a half, and by the time he was ten he had a little sister, Kelsa. Two Turns later his father was posted to Southern Weyr, taking his whole family with him. Berandon has been there since, totally enjoying Weyrlife. One day, he was talking to Alanore, brown Varroth's rider, when Varroth took a sudden and very unexpected interest in him. Alanore asked him to Stand for the clutch currently hardening on the Sands, and he accepted.

  When the hatching rolled around, Berandon ended up being one of the lucky ones. He had no clue when the Engagingly Royal Bronze dragonet rolled out of his shell that he would choose him, Berandon, for his lifemate. But the bronze, named Memnarth, did choose Berandon, who became B'ran. Weyrlinghood passed pretty uneventfully, aside from his growing relationship with Caraline, who impressed a gold the night B'ran and Memnarth found one another. Eventually he was tapped into the Nightstrike wing, where, during the following turn or so, he made such an impression on the wingleader that he was made a wingsecond.

  While his 'professional' life was a decent success, his personal life wasn't so much so. He had to struggle with his relationship with Caraline, which, despite their closeness, couldn't seem to get beyond on-again, off-again status. One of the main reasons for this was her tumultuous, not-so-healthy affair with an older rider. That ended rather abruptly, though, and around the birth of their daughter, Ceranda, B'ran and Caraline finally weyrmated. A few short months later, the then-Weyrleaders stepped down in favor of Caraline and whoever managed to get their lifemate to fly hers in Lilleth's upcoming first flight. When the Flight finally happened, it was Memnarth who caught the soaring gold, taking B'ran from wingsecond to Weyrleader in a few whirlwind hours.
